The history of the factory begun to be written in
1845, when in the factory premises was
situated the first sugar refinery in Austro-Hungarian
monarchy. After several changes of owners and
production activities, the factory was in 1920
acquired by the join stock company Heinrich
Franck & Sons, which restructured it to processing
of dried chicory. Dried chicory was delivered by Franck& Sons
to own factories in practically entire Europe as a basic raw material
for the production of caffeine free substitutes of roasted coffee beans.
In 1949 was the factory Kavoviny transferred to state property and in 1992 the state company
Kavoviny was bought on the basis of selection procedure by a private Slovak company
B.M. Kavoviny. It was achieved a substantial progress of production, establishing of market
rankings and building up of the dominating market share of products marked by the trademark
B.M.Kavoviny in the Slovak trade network
